This product provides a custom option for
those desiring an engineered floor. The available species range from the
popular Red Oak to other hardwoods, which offer different grain, color and
character such as Ash, Elm, Hickory, Maple, Wild Pecan, and White Oak.
Typical widths are 2 ¼, 3, and 5 inch, but custom widths are often
available. For those interested in character grades this is an excellent
option.
With the cross-ply construction, unfinished-engineered flooring is well
suited for direct glue-down application over concrete slabs and wooden
sub-floors. Contractors and dealers are finding that this product provides
them with an increased market potential because of the desire of homeowners
and builders to have a custom onsite finished floor. Maintaining this
product after finishing is very important, as the number of refinishing is
limited to, two or three times.
